Bridging The Chasm © 2007
(March 17, 2006)

Twin Flame, do you hear me
Calling through the years?
Whispers in the darkest night,
Echoing for eons in your ears.

Sunlit voices call to you
Allaying deepest fears; then
Summer meadows turn to fall
And winter loneliness appears.

Like a pine tree, tall and sparse
Reaching through the spheres;
Tangled roots deeply anchor you
Between rugged earthen boulders.

Nearby, a slender birch bends forward
Roots encased in silten soil; her silver
Trunk shoulders the wind more easily,
Bent but not broken by the storms.

Between them a sandy gully,
With shallow river flowing by,
Nurtures equally the entwined roots
Through many a night and day.

The chasms on the surface
May appear too wide to bridge,
Yet each reaches out & downward
Drinking deeply from the Source.

Commonness of soul purpose
Full realization of The Way;
Evolution of all creatures fully human
Creation’s Plan sees Dawn’s New Day.

Lonesome Dove  © 2007

The Dove was there
When the world was born
Gently spreading Her wings
Over Creation’s first dawn.

Polynesian scenes – a Garden of Eden
Idyllic life – Season through Season
Followed by – the Separateness Illusion
Our Fall –  The Age of Reason.

Lonesome Dove -  Soaring High
Meeting Her Maker -  In the Sky

Calamity overcame our World
Storm waters surged all around
It was Dove who pointed the Way
Noah’s ark reached higher ground.

Soon Dove and her mate
Heralded Jeshua’s birth
Holy Babe in the manger
Peace’s destiny on Earth

Lonesome Dove -  Soaring High
Meeting Her Maker -  In the Sky

Again, the strife & turmoil spread
Darkness fell across the country
Can peaceful Dove return us
To Nature’s blessed bounty ?

Calamity overcomes our World
Storm waters surge all around
It is Dove who will lead the song
For Heaven and Earth to resound!

Lonesome Dove -  Soaring High
Meeting Her Maker -  In the Sky

Global Heart of Friendship
©2009

Friendship runs deep
Through the River of Life
See in the eyes of a stranger
Bonds of love and not strife.

Reach out in a handshake
Put away that bayonet knife
Each of these strangers
Are human family, clan & life

Global heartbeats echo . . .
Within Gaia’s molten core
Adamantine energies . . .
Waves of Love forevermore

Competition in the marketplace
Brought greed and ego to our ways
Let’s bring that Kindergarten Circle
Of Cooperation back into our days

Purple mountain majesty
Gives forth to fields of corn
Reaping earnest human labor
America’s strength will be reborn

Global heartbeats echo . . .
Within Gaia’s molten core
Adamantine energies . . .
Waves of Love forevermore

As we honor our connection
To all Earth’s living things;
“Live & Let Live” triumphs –
One & All will find their wings !

Global heartbeats echo . . .
Within Gaia’s molten core
Adamantine energies . . .
Waves of Love forevermore

"Thanksgiving Poem"

BECAUSE YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD
My whole life shines brighter
My heart & soul much lighter
For the more yet to be found
Because you are in this world ...
While I must be more patient
Finding my life so very transient
I see more clearly now that
You are still within this world ...
My thoughts fly up to meet you as
Thankful stranger's words greet you
Though future may be uncertain
I am still within this world ...
Life is an "Unfoldment" of
The more yet to be heard ...
I will continue on steadfastly
Because you are in this world.

WE ARE ONE ©2009

Seeing through each other's eyes
The way unfolds ahead
Seeing things as they could be
Our vision is clearly led

Our breath entwines through many years
In that "dying" in between
In-breath-mine; Out-breath-yours
Glimpses of oneness to be seen

For those who seek the solace
Of finding true love's meaning
Are blessed to meet in golden sunshine
In a gaze of wisest understanding

Like some beautiful wild shy creatures
Eyes of deepest blue-grey-green
Look straight into each other's souls
In gold-flecked amber sunlight communion

Something without words or sound
A breadth and width of feeling
Passes between us there
In the stillness of our breathing

From our caves of inner knowledge
Rises this outer consiousness
From plateaus of the ancients
The hand of God does bless

Now part of me is part of you.

Yellow Ribbons
© 1990

Mother wears a yellow ribbon
like a daffodil scythed
at its unfolding.

Mother’s eyes are angry
her voice vehement
as she denounces war—
any war — every war.

“Why do countries offer up
the bodies of their young?”
while elders speak rhetorically—
about good— and evil.

She has experienced war and bombs
and air raid sirens—
“broken buildings, twisted bodies.”

No longer will she quietly observe,
hands folded demurely, now —
fists clenched — she speaks
of “enemies-turned-friends.”

She sees in retrospect and looming
futilely ahead, the waste —
young lives scattered
like petals upon the Earth . . .
